What’s scored
- Focus keyword placement in the title, SEO title, meta description, URL slug, opening paragraph, body content, and a subheading.
- Keyword density landing in a healthy range – not stuffed, not absent.
- Word count, heading structure (H2s and H3s), and at least one internal link.
- A Table of Contents on longer pieces, and a featured image being set.
- Readability, measured with the Flesch Reading Ease formula.
- Whether the title includes a number or a proven power/sentiment word.

Improving your average score
Your Dashboard shows an average across recent articles. If it’s lower than you’d like, the most common quick wins are a missing featured image, a keyword that doesn’t appear in the meta description, or an article running under the minimum word count – all visible on the individual article’s score breakdown.
