If a draft doesn’t match what you expected, work through these before assuming something is broken.
Check which provider generated it
If you’re still on the free Demo Provider, content is clearly-labeled placeholder text by design – meant for testing your workflow, not for publishing. Connect a real provider under Settings → AI & Images and regenerate.
Check the topic’s own fields
Content Type, Content Style, Keyword, Goal, and Target Audience all shape the result directly. A vague or missing Goal/Target Audience is one of the most common reasons an article reads generically – fill them in and regenerate.
Use Instructions instead of guessing again
Rather than repeatedly regenerating and hoping, use the Instructions field to say exactly what you want changed – “make it more beginner-friendly,” “shorten the introduction,” “focus more on price.” This applies directly to the next regeneration.
Fix just the part that’s wrong
If only the headline or conclusion is off, regenerate that one component instead of the whole article – it’s cheaper and leaves the rest of the draft untouched.
Still not right?
Try a different content type or style if the structure itself feels like a mismatch for the topic, or edit the post manually once it’s generated – it’s a normal WordPress post underneath.
