Content Refresh flags your older published articles so you can send them back through the pipeline for an update pass, instead of leaving them to quietly go stale.
Setting the threshold
Under Settings → Content & SEO, Content Refresh Threshold sets how many months old an article needs to be before it’s flagged – 6 months by default.
Refreshing a flagged article
Open Published Content and look for articles flagged as due for a refresh. Sending one back through the pipeline regenerates that same article in place – it doesn’t create a duplicate post, so your URL, comments, and rankings stay exactly where they are.
Why this matters
Search engines and readers both favor content that’s kept current. A regular refresh pass on your older, still-relevant articles is often a faster way to improve rankings than publishing something brand new.
