Setting Up Email Approvals

Approve from your inbox, safely - no accidental scanner clicks.

Email approvals let you (or anyone on your team) approve, regenerate, or cancel a generated article straight from an email, with no Telegram or Slack account needed.

How it’s different from a chat platform

A Telegram or Slack button click is a deliberate, authenticated action from a real client app. An email link is just a URL – and many email providers and security scanners automatically pre-fetch links in an email to scan them for malware. If a “click to Publish” link acted immediately on a GET request, a scanner could publish something before a human ever opened the message.

How SynaPost avoids that

An email approval link never takes action by itself. It only opens a confirmation page. The actual action – publish, regenerate, or cancel – only happens when a real button on that page is pressed, which sends a proper form submission a prefetch scanner won’t trigger. You get the convenience of approving from your inbox without the risk of a scanner accidentally approving something for you.

Setting it up

Under Settings → Approvals, enable Email approvals and enter the address (or addresses) that should receive them. Each new article awaiting approval sends an email to that address with a link to its confirmation page.

Using it alongside other channels

Email works together with Telegram, Slack, and the in-dashboard Approval Center – every enabled channel gets the same request at once, and approving in any one of them resolves it everywhere else automatically.
